Unless you worked with an interior designer and architect and custom designed every square inch of your home, chances are there are some awkward spaces in and around your house. Take my living room, for example. It's one of those long, narrow guys, where there is no choice but to put the TV over the mantel. The mantel (and therefore TV) is in the center of the room, therefore leaving a super awkward space at the end of the living room. You could put seating here, but it's functionally completely separate from the rest of the living room, making conversation super awkward.

Creating For Right Now, While Keeping End Goals in Mind

Eventually we want to put doors here leading out to our backyard, and a pool. Because we have grand long term plans for this space, I don't want to buy any big furniture items for here that we would eventually need to get rid of. Over the years we've lived here, this space has taken many different forms. The latest, however, is in my opinion, the greatest! Taking nods from one of my favorite plant-daddy's on Instagram, Hilton Carter, I transformed this little awkward space into a plant-haven, and I'm totally loving it! I was able to source a super cool chair from Home Goods on the relatively cheap, as well as relocate some of my plant babies, and load up on a few more, to instantly create a super cool, insta-worthy space.
